Multiparticle azimuthal correlations in reactions involving multiple production of particles at high energies

  • 1. Institute of Nuclear Physics, Tashkent (Uzbekistan)

Description

Multiparticle azimuthal correlations between secondary charged shower particles produced in hadron-nucleon (hN) and hadron-nucleus (hA) collisions at energies of 200-400 GeV are studied using a new formalism. These correlations are observed in hN collisions up to maximum multiplicities. For the same multiplicities, correlations in hA collisions are weaker than in hN collisions. Rough estimates are obtained for the probabilities of production of charged particles via decays of two-particle resonances in the sets of collisions under study. 13 refs., 5 figs., 1 tab
