Application of boron distribution observation method to material science by thermal neutron irradiation (2)
Description
The influence of Mo and segregation and precipitation behavior of B in the steel was studied. About the interaction of Mo and B the following results were obtained by using the α-track etching method. 1) As for the cooling speed of 1000degC/S, the segregation of B is caused in the austenite grain boundary. 2) The boundary of the area where the segregation is observed in Time-Temperature-Segregation-Diagram and the area not observed becomes like C curve. The position of C curve is corresponding to the place where the grain boundary precipitation progresses and then the grain boundary segregation is not seen. 3) The precipitation of B compound is controlled by adding Mo.
