The effective comparison between uterine arteriography and ultrasound examination in tubal pregnancy

Description

Objective: To analyze and compare the value of uterine arteriography and ultrasound examination in early diagnosis and treatment selection of tubal pregnancy. Methods: Using Seldinger's technique, the catheter was put into bilateral uterine arteries from the femoral artery.Also, the ultrasonic examination was applied to scan the uterus and the region of bilateral appendix. Results: There were specific sign of blood vessel of pregnant cyst in 30 cases in uterine arteriography. Meanwhile, the structure of pregnant cyst or mass in uterine appendix in 32 cases can be seen with ultrasound examination. Conclusion: Uterine arteriography and ultrasound examination can not replace each other mutually. Combining with both, the accuracy of diagnosis and treatment can be improved. (authors)
