Isotope effect of electromigration and diffusion of hydrogen in the amorphous alloys Pd62Ni20Si18 and Fe40Ni40B10
Description
The aim of this work was to determine the values of the chemical diffusion coefficient of hydrogen and deuterium in the amorphous alloys Pd62Ni20Si18 and Fe40Ni40B10. From the investigations described it follows that the chemical coefficient of diffusion of deuterium in amorphous Pd62Ni20Si18 and Fe40- Ni40B20 at 368 K is smaller than the chemical diffusion coefficient of hydrogen in these systems. The effective valency of deuterium in both alloys investigated is significantly less than that of hydrogen. Finally, the effective valency and chemical coefficient of diffusion of the isotope in amorphous Pd62Ni20Si18 has higher values than in Fe40Ni40B20. (author)
