Cross sections of neutron scattering by 126Te and 130Te nuclei in the energy range of 1.5-5.0 MeV

Description

Cross sections of elastic and inelastic scattering for 1.5; 2.0; 3.0 and 5.0 MeV neutrons by 126Te and 130Te nuclei in case of excitation simultaneously the first, second and third levels of the nuclei are measured. The measurements are made using the EhG-5 time-of-flight spectrometer of fast neutrons. The data obtained show that with energy increase the diffraction character of elastic scattering is more distinctly pronounced. Differential cross sections of inelastic scattering with the excitation of the first 22-levels in the range of lower energies are similar to isotopic distribution but with energy increase the appearance and increase of the peak forward are quite noticeable which is characteristic for the processes of direct interaction. Total differential cross sections of excitation of the second and third levels remain practically isotropic over the whole investigated energy range
