Experimental approach to the RA reactor radiological characterization for decommissioning purposes

Description

Radioactivity present on the nuclear facility site after this final shutdown has to be removed by the dismantling and decontamination of components, systems, surfaces and structures. Through the radiological characterization process detailed knowledge about the radiological conditions of the facility is obtained and is used to develop plan of the facility radionuclide inventory - implementing the calculation methods and performing measurements. In this paper the main details of the RA reactor radiological characterization plan related to the application of the sampling and measurements methods and analyses of the experimental results are described (author)

Abstract (Serbian)

Radioaktivnost prisutna u nuklearnom postrojenju po njegovom trajnom prestanku rada treba da bude uklonjena demontazom i dekontaminacijom komponenti, sistema, povrsina i struktura. Plan aktivnosti demontaze i dekontaminacije izradjuje se na osnovu poznavanja radioloske situacije postrojenja koja se utvrdjuje procesom radioloske karakterizacije. Dva glavna pristupa odredjivanju vrste aktivnosti izvora zracenja su racunski i eksperimentalni. U ovom radu su prikazani detalji plana radioloske karakterizacije izradjenog za potrebe dekomisije istrazivackog reaktora RA u Institutu 'Vinca' koji se odnose na primenu metoda uzorkovanja, merenja i analize eksperimentalnih rezultata odredjivanja aktivnosti sistema i komponenti (author)
