Description
The Kartini reactor has been operating for more than 40 years and in 2023 the FC detector in the logarithmic power channel was replaced. FC detector characterization was performed at various axial positions and reactor power levels to obtain accurate detector readings. From the research conducted, the FC detector characterization results were obtained at the logarithmic power channel output and the preamp output. From the characterization results, the difference in FC detector characteristics is 8.224 % compared to the NLW-2 manual book. It proves that the wide range log channel NLW-2 can still be used and functions properly regarding its age. The most appropriate FC detector location can be determined at position between 70 up to 75 cm. (author)
