Description
Anticrossing experiments were performed on both cis and trans isomers of glyoxal. The comparison of the widths and intensities of these signals confirms the predominance of indirect spin-orbit coupling and the assignment of the 1Asub(u)-3Asub(u) coupling in glyoxal to the small-molecule weak-coupling limit.
