Effect of microwave-optical double resonance on anomalous Moessbauer spectra

  • 1. Tata Inst. of Fundamental Research, Bombay (India)

Description

Using Kubo-Anderson stochastic model calculation it is shown that a microwave-optical-Moessbauer triple resonance (MOMTR) experiment, which is essentially a Moessbauer resonance study in presence of microwave-optical double resonance (MODR), can measure short relaxation times of the ion's excited state. This is an improvement over the existing MODR technique. (orig.)
