Description

The paper describes the current energy situation in Korea and the likely scenario of energy problems in the 21st century. It outlines the vision of the hydrogen economy to help solve the energy problems. Salient aspects of the Korean nuclear hydrogen development demonstration project (NHDD), based on a VHTR, have been presented. These include the details of the fuel, reactor, and materials. The progress of work on a bench scale I/S process unit has been discussed. (author)
