Description
Several newly synthesised monoamides such as di-butyloctanamide (DBOA), methylbutyldecanamide (MBDA), methyl butyl octanamide (MBOA), di-butyl decanamide (DBDA), di-n-octyl ethylhexyl amide (DOEHA), and di-hexyl octanamide (DHOA) were tested as carriers across supported liquid membranes for selective transport of Pu(IV). Of them, MBDA and DBOA proved to be quite suitable as ionophores from HNO3 media providing >95% and >82% transport of Pu(IV) with permeation coefficient exceeding (5.1 ± 0.6) x 10-3 m/s and (1.1 ± 0.65) x 10-3 m/s, respectively.
