The article deals with aspects of radioactive waste management from hospitals. It is stated that discharge of short-lived radionuclides into the air or surface waters can be allowed after a suitable decay time without special waste disposal or notification activities being required. (PW)

Der Artikel gibt einen Ueberblick ueber die Entsorgung radioaktiver Krankenhausabfaelle. Danach ist es moeglich, kurzlebige Nuklide nach entsprechender Abklingzeit ohne Ablieferungspflicht in die Luft oder in Wasser abzuleiten. (PW)
