Al-wall B-deposit proportional counter

Description

Two types of Al-wall B-deposit proportional counters with protective covers designed for starging the nuclear power station are described. Their quiescent neutron irradiation-proof life is as long as 1018 m-2, γ irradiation-proof life is more than 258 kC/kg. Besides, the counters feature low operating voltage (1000 V), good γ discrimination, counting only natural background against exposure of 25.8 μC/kg.s without contribution on repeated γ field and can work in reversed consitions
