Neutron radiography with a 1 MeV Van de Graaff generator
- 1. Radiation Center of Osaka Prefecture, Sakai (Japan)
Description
The technique using thermal neutrons was demanded by its inspection ability to show hydrogenous material such as plastic, water, explosive or composite material, especially irradiated nuclear fuel capsule. This paper describes the trials in neutron radiography using a low energy accelerator of 1 MeV Van de Graaff type producing neutron of 14 MeV by D-T reaction. (auth.)
