Description
The Federal Republic of Germany is gathering experience in operating the test power plant KNK II and in building the breeder prototype SNR 300. In this matter licensing- and financial problems have to be managed. For the further development planning studies also taking the French breeder concept into account are about to be effected. In France and the Soviet Union they are already passing over from breeder prototype power plants to larger demonstration breeders. The USA are making up for the delays they caused during the past years due to political reasons. Great Britain, Japan, India and Italy have their own breeding reactor projects, and Switzerland and some more countries do investigations concerning parts of the breeder development. (orig.)
Abstract (German)
Die Bundesrepublik Deutschland sammelt Erfahrungen beim Betrieb des Versuchskraftwerks KNK II und dem Bau des Brueterprototyps SNR 300. Sie hat dabei Genehmigungs- und Finanzierungsprobleme zu ueberwinden. Fuer die Weiterentwicklung sind Planungsstudien in Arbeit, die auch das franzoesische Brueterkonzept beruecksichtigen sollen. In Frankreich und der Sowjetunion wird der Uebergang von Brueterprototypkraftwerken zu groesseren Demonstrationsbruetern bereits vollzogen. Die USA holen gegenueber Verzoegerungen auf, die in den letzten Jahren aus politischen Gruenden entstanden waren. Grossbritannien, Japan, Indien und Italien haben eigene Brutreaktorprojekte, die Schweiz und weitere Laender bearbeiten Teilgebiete der Brueterentwicklung. (orig.)Additional details
