Electric protection for Duke Power Company's dual generator breaker nuclear plants
Description
The size and nature of the large nuclear generating stations under construction today require that the electrical protection differ in some ways from protection that has been conventionally applied at power plants. A discussion is given of this protection as developed for Duke Power Company's dual generator breaker nuclear plants. The basic changes in relaying philosophy are discussed, as well as the general designs developed to implement the new philosophies. 1 refs
