Plasma decay and arc extinction upon an oblique incidence of a shock wave on plasma

Description
Extinction of an electric arc is of particular importance in the circuits matching the inductive energy storages and explosively-driven magnetic generators, since this process is mainly responsible for the loading pulse characteristics. The highest parameters in the above-mentioned circuits have been provided by a shock compression of the arc plasma by detonation products. Some arrangements of shock compression of the electric arc plasma by detonation products upon oblique incidence of shock waves on the interface between the plasma and the HE detonation products are considered
