A review is given of research work performed at the synchrocyclotron of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research at Dubna on fast radiochemical separation techniques for the production of short-lived neutron-deficient isotopes - mainly of the rare earth elements - as well as on the inorganic radiochemistry of astatine.
