Description
The magnetic hyperfine interaction of xenon in iron has been the subject of a lot of experimental work in recent years. Moessbauer and nuclear orientation studies have indicated the presence of different field sites for the Xe atoms. However, the resolving power of both methods is small compared to that offered by the NMR/ON technique. As the occupation of the different field sites has been demonstrated to be dose-dependent, several measurements with increasing Xe concentration were planned. This paper reports the first step of this study. (Auth.)
