Metabolic activation and carcinogen metabolism
Description
Studies have been designed to carefully define the metabolic differences in diverse tissues for the activation and detoxification of polycyclic carcinogens. Benzo(a)pyrene is being used as the prototype molecule to formulate a mechanism which describes how individual systems transform the parent chemical into a highly reactive electrophile
