Improved nuclear fuel element
Description
A nuclear fuel element is described. It includes a central core formed by the nuclear fuel, a sleeve in metal chosen from among stainless steel, copper and its alloys, nickel and its alloys, surrounding the central core of nuclear fuel, a cladding around the metal sleeve and a chromium or chromium alloy diffusion barrier placed between the cladding and the metal sleeve. The diffusion barrier forms a coating on the internal face of the cladding and on the external face of the metal sleeve

On presente un element de combustible nucleaire. Il comprend un noyau central forme d'un corps de combustible nucleaire, une chemise en metal choisi parmi l'acier inoxydable, le cuivre et ses alliages, le nickel et ses alliages, entourant le noyau central de combustible nucleaire, une gaine allongee entourant la chemise metallique et une barriere de diffusion en chrome ou en alliages de chrome disposee entre la gaine et la chemise metallique.
