The Agreement between the Federal Republic of Germany and the Federative Republic of Brazil of 26 June 1975 on co-operation in the peaceful uses of nuclear energy
Description
The Agreement provides for co-operation between organizations engaged in scientific and technological research and enterprises in both States in the following: prospecting, extraction and processing of uranium ores as well as the production of uranium compounds; construction of nuclear reactors and other nuclear installations, as well as their components; uranium enrichment and enrichment services; manufacture of fuel elements and reprocessing of irradiated fuels. The Agreement is implemented by specific guidelines. In total, 8 nuclear power plants, one enrichment plant, one fuel element fabrication plant and a reprocessing plant are planned. The supply and export of nuclear materials, equipment and installations, as well as relevant technological information is subject to IAEA safeguards. (N.E.A.)

Cet accord fournit aux organisations et entreprises qui se livrent a la recherche scientifique et technologique dans les deux pays, un cadre de cooperation pour les activites suivantes: prospection, extraction et traitement des minerais d'uranium; production de composes d'uranium; construction de reacteurs et d'autres installations nucleaires ainsi que leurs composants; enrichissement de l'uranium et services d'enrichissement; fabrication d'elements combustibles et traitement des combustibles irradies. La mise en application de l'Accord est completee par un certain nombre de directives. Au total, huit centrales nucleaires de puissance, une usine d'enrichissement, une usine de fabrication d'elements combustibles et une usine de retraitement sont prevues. La fourniture et l'exportation de matieres, equipements et installations nucleaires ainsi que des informations technologiques correspondantes, sont soumises aux garanties de l'AIEAAdditional details
