On aluminium material behaviour under irradiation by powerful pulsed hydrogen plasma flux
Description
Experimental study of changes in surface microrelief of unalloyed aluminium and an aluminium-lithium-copper alloy (Al-2Li-2.5Cu) under irradiation with powerful pulsed hydrogen plasma jets was carried out using the plant of Desna type. The minimal thermal flux density needed to initiate the process of melting surfaces of aluminium materials is determined. The evaporation temperature and corresponding evaporation rates for some typical thermal flux densities are evaluated
