TEA CO2 laser with output pulse length adjustable from 50 ns to over 50 μs
Description
By adjusting the proportions of CO2 and N2 in a TEA laser gas mixture and by also adjusting the coupling losses of the optical resonator, it is shown that the same laser system can produce laser outputs of relatively uniform energy but with pulse lengths adjustable from 0.05 to 50 μ s. (U.S.)
