Instrument handling device in FBR type reactor
Description
Purpose: To facilitate a series of remote handling such as transporation and discharge of only activated portions by taking out a plurality of thermocouples and flowmeters at once. Constitution: Instruments integrally provided with thermocouples and flowmeters for the detection of coolant temperature and flow rate are connected by way of a solenoid holder to a wire rope passing through the cask main body so as to be hoisted. A moving closure connected to a movable wire elevated in synchronism with the holder is further provided and a door valve operated by a handle is provided to the lower portion of the main body of the cask. The instruments are hoisted together with the holder and the moving closure by the hoist into the main body of the cask, the door valve is closed, the cask main body is detached in this state and transported and the instruments are fallen by their own weight and discarded.
