The classification, physical foundations, and theory of the gamma methods, the principles of the design of analyzing equipment, techniques and conditions for the application of each method, the basic principles of the procedure and techniques of field measurements and the methods for processing and interpretation of the results are considered. Attention is focused on substantiation of the optimum measuring conditions and procedures for analyzing powder samples, borehole logging, and sounding of mine workings
