Description
The system operating in the UK for the disposal on the sea bed of low level radioactive wastes from hospitals, universities and the nuclear power programme is considered. The level of activity involved, the procedures used, the supervision and the monitoring of the operations, the siting of the dumping grounds, the design of the packages, and predictions which have been made of the movements of the waste after dumping, are discussed.
