Mechanical properties of austenitic stainless steel welded joints at high temperature

Description

Different test methods to define the characteristics of joints and their behavior in service are discussed, and various processes used in industrial projects are considered. The choice of process depends on many factors; thickness of the parts to be assembled, geometry of the joints etc... For construction designed to work at high temperature the reference process is manual welding. Electron welding and certain automatic welding methods are also examined

Abstract (French)

Differentes methodes d'essais, permettant de preciser les caracteristiques des joints ainsi que leur comportement en service sont discutees. On considere un certain nombre de procedes utilises dans les realisations industrielles. Le choix du procede depend de nombreux facteurs: epaisseur des pieces a assembler, geometrie des joints etc... Pour les constructions devant fonctionner a haute temperature, le procede de reference est le soudage manuel. On examine aussi le soudage par faisceau d'electrons et certains procedes de soudage automatique
