Description
In order to study the production mechanism of projectile-like fragments (PLFs) at intermediate energies, the momentum distributions of PLFs were measured. For this purpose, the momentum distributions of PLFs were measured by using a secondary beam course. Longitudinal and transverse momentum (PL and PT) distributions of PLFs produced in the reaction with 84Kr beam at E/A=290 MeV were observed. The center and the width of PL distribution were calculated by the function fitting. The deceleration effect in fragmentation process was extracted from the calculated center of PL distribution.
