Dielectric and dilatometric studies of 0.65 PbMg1/3Nb2/3O3-0.35PbTiO3 single crystals from morphotropic boundary range

Description
The phase transitions are investigated in 0.65 PbMg1/3Nb2/3O3-0.35PbTiO3 (PMN-0.35PT) single crystals and the influence of permanent electric field on these temperatures transitions are studied. It has been found that for the single crystals from the morphotropic boundary range there is Ec ≅ 0.7-1 kV cm-1 constant electric field threshold value above which the crystal properties are similar to these of ferroelectrics, while at E < Ec the crystals manifest relaxation-like dielectric features and the temperature of permittivity maximum does not depend on E
Abstract (Russian)
Исследованы фазовые переходы с монокристалле 0.65 PbMg1/3Nb2/3O3-0.35PbTiO3 (PMN-0.35PT) и изучено влияние постоянного электрического поля на температуры этих переходов. Обнаружено, что для данных монокристаллов, принадлежащих к морфотропной области, существует пороговая величина постоянного электрического поля Еп ≅ 0.7-1 кВ см-1, выше которой свойства кристаллов аналогичны обычным сегнетоэлектрикам, в то время как при E < Eп кристаллы проявляют релаксоподобные диэлектрические свойства и температура максимума диэлектрической проницаемости не зависит от ЕAdditional details
