Studies of transverse spin effects at Jlab
Description
We present ongoing and future studies of single-spin asymmetries in semi-inclusive electroproduction of pions using the CEBAF polarized electron beam. Kinematic dependences of single-spin asymmetries have been measured in a wide kinematic range at CLAS with a polarized NH3 target. Significant target-spin sin 2φ and sin φ asymmetries have been observed, indicating a non-zero Collins fragmentation function and supporting future SIDIS measurements with upgraded JLab
