Description
We study spin-dependence of the interquark interactions induced by the instanton-light quark coupling and their effects on the excited baryon spectrum and multiquark systems. It is found that the spin-orbit force from the instanton induced interaction reduces that from the one-gluon exchange in the flavor-octet P-wave baryons. This cancellation does not occur in the spin-orbit force between nucleons, where the flavor symmetric q-q interaction plays a dominant role. copyright 1995 American Institute of Physics
