Study on the radiation of ultrarelativistic electrons in a diamond monocrystal by the induced activity method

  • 1. AN Ukrainskoj SSR, Kharkov. Fiziko-Tekhnicheskij Inst.

Description

The intensity of the bremsstrahlung #betta# quanta from a diamond monocrystal was detected by the activity induced in the copper samples in the 63Cu(#betta#, n)62Cu reaction. In such a way, the orientation dependences of the #betta# quantum yield were studied, for the case of 1.2 and 1.45 GeV electrons transmission near the [110] crystallographic axes and (1 anti 10), (001) planes. The ratio of the yield for the axes [110] oriented along the beam to the #betta# quantum yield from the entirely disoriented crystal is measured as a function of the photon beam collimation
