Internal structure of a field-reversed configuration plasma
Creators
- 1. Nihon Univ., Tokyo (Japan). Coll. of Science and Technology
Description
An equilibrium state of a field-reversed configuration is investigated by measuring bremsstrahlung in a near infrared regime emitted from the plasma. The separatrix shape obtained from the emission profile has a smooth surface and coincides well with that from a magnetic measurement. However, contours of the emission intensity have an island inside the separatrix and a small hole at the separatrix end. (author)
