Description

General requirements for γ-spectroscopic equipment used for nondestructive testing of nuclear materials are discussed. Described briefly are methods and requirements for equipment and supply with electronics for NaI(Tl) and Ge detectors applied for determining U enrichment, Pu isotopic analysis, spent fuel, densitometry, X-ray fluorescence analysis. Flowsheets of data processing on γ spectroscopy according to the IAEA safeguards are given. Trends in the development of γ-spectroscopic equipment to this end are briefly described
