Preequilibrium models for nuclear reactions and studies involving neutrons

Creators

  • 1. CEA Centre d'Etudes Nucleaires de Saclay, 91 - Gif-sur-Yvette (France). Dept. de Physique Nucleaire

Description

In the lecture preequilibrium models are described and their application to medium energy nuclear reactions are discussed. The discussion is restricted to reactions with 20-100 MeV of excitation in the intermediate nucleus. The basic features of cascade, Fermi-gas equilibrium, hybrid, and Griffin or exciton models are presented. Comparison is made between experimental data and predictions by various preequilibrium models
