Isotopic effects in the fusion of 40Ca with /sup 40,44,48/ Ca
Creators
- 1. Massachusetts Inst. of Tech., Cambridge
Description
Excitation functions for fusion of 40Ca+ /sup 40,44,48/Ca have been measured over a range of energies from below to well above the classical fusion barrier. Strong isotopic effects are observed in both the sub- and above-barrier cross sections. which are qualitatively consistent with suggestions of the importance of transfer reactions in the fusion process
