Ellipsometric study of rapidly quenched laser processed Fe-Cr-B ribbons

Description
A study was made into the influence of laser processing on optical properties of surface layers of rapidly quenched alloy (Fe0.9Cr0.1)85B15. Alloy specimens were not completely amorphous in initial state, but contained some quantity of crystalline phase. It is showed that surface atomic structure varies depending on the energy and laser pulse quantity and provides appropriate changes in optical and magnetic properties of the alloy
