Test method for the measurement of natural radioactivity of building materials
Description
The comparative method based on gamma spectrometric measurements of the samples and different reference standards is applicable for the determination of 228Ra, 226Ra and 40K contents in building materials in case of the absence of other isotopes with γ-energy higher than 800 keV. The relative and systematic errors, as well as the lowest detectable concentration values are discussed. (Sz.J.)
