Evaluation of irreversible fatigue damage for 04Kh12N8M steel by the method of internal friction

Description
A procedure for evaluated of irreversible fatigue damage of steels and alloys by the method of internal friction is reported. It is shown that measurement of internal friction in the process of loading makes it possible to determine the material survivability alongside with obtaining values of limited longevity by conventional fatigue tests, which is less complicated than according to Arench. The procedure suggested may be used for acclerated determination of fatigue limit for structure steel
