Amplifiers HF CIME operating cost reduction by variable impedance tuning
Description
The acceleration system consumption constitutes a great part of the whole consumption of a cyclotron. To operate with a high efficiency, the amplifier has to supply a power approaching its maximal power, which may reach the value 0,65. By an adjustment of variable parameters, a new frequency dependent amplifier has been designed. It allows an efficiency of more than 0,6. (A.L.B.)
