Description

Because of the non-linearity and complexity of general relativity it is not possible to study the gravitational radiation of bounded sources using methods applied in the study of electromagnetic radiation. A partial (and inadequate) answer to this problem is to study separately the near zone and the far zone. In the study of the far zone considerable progress has been made in the last twenty years and the whole subject has been formalized as the asymptotic structure of the gravitational field. The purpose of this short communication is to present some very recent results (not published yet) about the asymptotic structure. (Auth.)
