Weldability of the austenitic steel irradiated by neutrons

Description
Weldability of the austenitic steel radiated by neutrons is investigated. It is determined that hot cracks creation in the heat affected zone is connected with dense occupation of grains boundaries by vacation-gas pores which have dimensions of some μm. Critical distance between these pores is 2-6 of their diameters. It is probably that as a result of the additional and some alloyed elements pores are also weakened. Destruction along the grains boundaries is carried out according to the high-temperature creep mechanism

Исследована свариваемость облученной нейтронами аустенитной стали. Установлено, что образование горячих трещин в зоне термического влияния связано с плотным заселением границ зерен вакансионно-газовыми порами размером в несколько мкм. Критическое расстояние между этими порами составляет 2-6 диаметров пор. Возможно, что перемычки между порами в результате высокотемпературной абсорбции примесных и некоторых легирующих элементов также ослаблены.
