Description
Negotiating about the final decommissioning and shut-down of THTR-300, the Federal Government, North Rhine Westphalia, HKG, and its partners agreed on September 1, 1989. A skeleton contract was made on the regular final completion of the project. The contract mainly intends to cover economic risks on the part of HKG. After decommissioning, the nuclear responsibility remains with HKG. Liabilities were in the order of magnitude of 287 million marks the day the reactor was decommissioned. (DG)

In Verhandlungen kamen Bund, Land NRW, HKG und deren Gesellschafter ueberein, den THTR-300 mit Wirkung vom 1.9.1989 endgueltig stillzulegen und den sicheren Einschluss der Anlage herzustellen. Ueber die geordnete Restabwicklung des Projekts wurde ein Rahmenvertrag abgeschlossen, der insbesondere die wirtschaftliche Absicherung der HKG regelt. Sie verbleibt auch nach erfolgtem sicheren Einschluss in der atomrechtlichen Verantwortung. Zum Zeitpunkt der Stillegung war eine Unterdeckung von 287 Mio DM entstanden. (DG)
