Dislocation mechanism of diffusion processes in TiO2-M2O3(M-Al, Sc, Y, Er) systems

Description
The process of mutual diffusion in TiO2-M2O3 systems where M=Al, Sc, Y, Er, is studied on single crystal samples at 1300-1500 deg C using local X-ray spectral analysis and light microscopy. Formation of several new chemical compounds and solid solutions in accordance with phase diagrams is established. The dislocational mechanism of diffusion interaction in the TiO2-Sc2O3 system is discussed. The real structure of the obtained products is associated with dislocational processes
