On the comparison of efficiencies of dissociative recombination and dissociation by collisions of electrons with molecular ions
Description
General relationships are obtained between the cross section of the dissociative recombination with the formation of highly-excited atoms and that of the dissociation by collisions of electrons with molecular ions. Some concrete calculations are carried out for H2+. The accuracy of the collisions with electrons is discussed
