Facility for measuring the time spreads of one-electron pulses of photomultipliers

Description
A facility is described for measuring the time spreads of one-electron pulses of photomultipliers. Two photomultipliers detect the light from the Cherenkov radiation of electrons in a radiator. The first photomultiplier is used for obtaining the trigger pulse. The second one (tested) operates in the one-electron mode. It is shown that the time spread detection rate depends on the source activity and electron energy. 1 ref.; 3 figs
