Description

A standardization equipment was developed using a CENTRONIC-IG12/20 A, well-type ionization chamber, a HV source and a NP-2000 Electrometer (Hungary). The dark current is 7-8 x 10-14 A, the slope of the 'plateau' has a value of less than 0.05%/100 V. The random error when measuring the current is less than 0.3%. The overall accuracy for Co-60 and Cs-137 does not exceed 1.5-4%, depending on the type of vial containing the radioactive solution. The error of positioning is less than 0.1% and the six-month stability, less than 0.3%. The equipment was certified by the State Inspectorate for Metrology as 'first-order secondary standard'.
