Detection of 1.9 GeV mass exotic meson decaying into the η'η channel

Description

A meson produced in the charge-exchange π-p-collisions and decaying into η'η has been observed. The experiment has been carried out with the GAMS-2000 spectrometer at the Serpukhov accelerator. The meson mass equals (1917±15) MeV, the width is (90+35)-(90-50) MeV. Its spin-parity is JPC=0++, 1-+ or 2++, isospin and G-parity is IG=0+. The t-dependence of the differential cross section is described by exp(bt) with small slope b=2±1 (GeV/c)2. For the decays through ππ, ηη and KK-bar channels low limits are obtained showing the exotic nature of this meson
