The role of sectional roentgenography in lateral exposures of thoracic vertebrae

Description
In all, it can be stated that the radiographical evaluation of thick vertebral slices certainly has an important role in diagnostic procedures in the thoracic region of the vertebral column. Being a relatively simple, rapid and inexpensive method that is available to the vast majority of X-ray centres and associated with only minor risks from exposure, it deserves to be used on a much broader basis. Abstract (German)
Zusammenfassend soll somit die Bedeutung der Zonographie in der Diagnostik der BWS betont werden. Als relativ einfache, rasch durchfuehrbare, kostenguenstige, in fast allen Roentgeninstituten verfuegbare und den Patienten wenig belastende Methode, sollte diese Untersuchung wesentlich breitere Anwendung finden.
